About Simon

Having always held a keen interest in sport and physical adventure I have a passion for passing on my knowledge and enthusiasm to others.  I have over 15 years of running experience, having taken part in over ten “half marathons” and competed in various other endurance challenges such as The Three Peaks and the tough Cairngorm Challenge (a hilly 9 mile run and 25 mile off road mountain biking!).  Amongst others I also enjoy resistance training, circuits, cycling and indoor rowing.

I am a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) which is an organisation created to protect the interests of people using Fitness Instructors and Trainers.  I gained my Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training with Lifetime Health and Fitness, a National fitness training provider with an exceptional level of expertise.

My insurance and qualification documents are available to view upon request.

Training Sessions with Simon

The first time we meet will be your free consultation, during this 30 minute session I will ask you to complete a Lifestyle and Exercise Questionnaire to gauge your current level of physical activity and future goals.

The first training session I will take various non-invasive data and I may undertake a number of sub-maximal tests to understand more about your physical fitness this may include strength testing, stamina, muscular endurance, core strength and stability. But of course this will vary depending on your goals and requirements.

From the information available and with your input and discussion I can chart your individual training plan to help you achieve your goals.

Future training sessions will be varied and consistent with your goals.  I always strive to ensure the sessions are challenging but fun. If you want to run a marathon or pack on 20lbs of muscle your goal will be the forefront of my mind and my focus will be to get you there!
